Specialone sulla Nyege Nyege Tapes
Più Africa che mai per questa nuova puntata di ‘a Scuppuluni! Per riscaldarci partiremo con qualche ascolto del nuovo e attesissimo disco del ghanese Guy One, che la Philophon ci aveva fatto conoscere qualche anno fa, pubblicando nel 2013 un sorprendente 45 giri che qui a Scuppuluni non ci eravamo fatti sfuggire.
Dal maestro del kologo ci spostiamo in Uganda, per questo mini special sulla Nyege Nyege Tapes, una bella etichetta che produce cassettine delle più marce produzioni musicali delle peggio bettole dell’Africa orientale. Una bella carrellata di ascolti: spazieremo dalla compilation Sound of Sisso, a qualche ascolto dall’album di Ridd Lore Afro Mutation, per concludere col più bel disco prodotto dall’etichetta Nihiloxica, una delle migliori scoperte delle ultime settimane.
Il momento shtrazzamutanni in questa puntata è più ispirato che mai. Ad introdurre le sorelle Wiggins, le parole dell’enorme Lester Bangs a descriverci una delle migliori formazioni di sempre: The Shaggs!
